Online workshop empowers rural participants through visual storytelling for climate action
On November 5, 2025, the RurALL project hosted an online workshop titled “Telling the Change: Visual Storytelling for Rural Climate Action”, bringing together over 250 registered participants from rural territories, NGOs, youth groups, environmental activists, and other underrepresented voices - from more than 40 countries across the EU and beyond. The session aimed to strengthen active citizenship in rural areas by equipping participants with creative tools to communicate their experiences, advocate for climate justice, and influence both local and European decision-making.

Strengthening Rural Participation: Exploring Decision-Making and Hospitality in Ecoplaces
Pistes-Solidaires, within the framework of the RurALL project (Rural Active Citizenship Labs), organized its Decision-Making Modelling and Simulation Workshop in Loubieng, Pyrénées-Atlantiques. The event gathered 27 participants in the inspiring setting of Mirasou, a rural ecoplace that has become a symbol of agroecology, social inclusion, and rural innovation.
Successful participatory workshop on water, gender, and community action at the University of the Basque Country
On September 25, the University of the Basque Country hosted a one-day participatory workshop inspired by action-research methodologies. The event brought togethe participants—students and professors from the Social Education degree program—who engaged in a collective learning experience aimed at fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and community-oriented action.

Building a Shared Vision for Sárisáp – The Second RurALL Workshop
On 21 June, we held the second workshop in Sárisáp as part of the RurALL co-creation process. The atmosphere was full of energy and openness, and we were delighted to welcome several new participants to the group.
Together, we created a local value map, exploring what matters most to the people of Sárisáp and how these values can guide a climate-resilient rural future. We also continued developing the previously prioritised local needs and ideas. Focusing on the most supported proposals, we began identifying the necessary resources, implementation steps, activities and sub-tasks that would move them toward realisation.
Ecology in Practice: Empowering Youth for Sustainable Change
Participants from across Slovakia gathered for an inspiring workshop that bridged education, environmental awareness, and civic participation. Organized with the support of ADEL Slovakia, this unique event aimed to equip young people with the tools and knowledge needed to actively engage in sustainable development, both locally and globally.
Climate and Youth: Empowering Rural Voices for Environmental Justice
On May 15th, 2025, the rural village of Barcus in the French Pyrenees became a hub for environmental learning and empowerment as part of the RurALL Active Citizenship Labs project. The event brought together 27 participants mainly from France, but also from Germany and Spain for a full-day in-situ training on climate change, sustainability, and the power of grassroots action.
From Vision to Action: The Second Dorog Workshop on Community-Based Climate Adaptation
On 17 May, the RurALL project continued its three-part community workshop series in Dorog with a dynamic and productive second session. Held once again at the Gáthy Zoltán Public Library, the event brought together familiar and new participants alike — all ready to continue the collective journey of identifying and shaping solutions to local environmental challenges.
Co-Designing a Climate-Resilient Future for Sárisáp
On 10 May, the RurALL project launched a new three-part local workshop series in the village of Sárisáp, Komárom-Esztergom County. The event, held at the Sárisáp Bányász Community Place, brought together a committed and thoughtful group of local residents, civil society representatives, municipal actors and institutional stakeholders.
