Do you care about the planet? Do you have cool ideas to make our world more sustainable and eco-friendly?

Join the EcoACTION Hackathon – an international online challenge for young people from across Europe who want to do something real for the environment!

What’s it about?

You’ll get to choose one of four ways to show your idea for a better, more sustainable world:

Creative & Visual Idea

Make a poster, drawing, or infographic about a local eco problem or solution.

Example: design a poster about recycling or zero-waste habits.

Winner: €100 + your work will be shared online & on the social media of various NGOs involved in the project.

Media & Digital Content

Create a short video, reel, or social media challenge that inspires change.

Example: make a TikTok about sustainable fashion or a #GreenVillage campaign.

Winner: €100 + your idea gets promoted on various social media channels of NGOs involved in the project.

Project & Community Action

Plan a local eco event or school project – like a swap market, clean-up day, or eco-festival.

Example: “Green Day at School” or “Bike to School Week.”

Winner: €200 + mentoring from environmental organizations and community experts who will help you turn your idea into reality – from planning and budgeting to finding local partners or funding opportunities.

Innovation & Tech Concept

Think up an app, gadget, or digital idea to solve a local environmental issue.

Example: a car-sharing app for small villages or a digital map of local food sources.

Winner: €300 + mentoring from tech and sustainability experts who will guide you on how to develop your idea further – from concept design and user testing to finding real-world applications or support for implementation.

 How to Join

• 🌍Choose the format that fits your idea best - either visual, digital, community, or tech!
• 👥  Form a team (or join solo – everyone’s welcome!)

• 💡 Work and develop your pitch! 
• 🎤 Present your pitch (1-2 minutes) online to our jury at the Hackathon online event on Friday, December 5th.
