From Vision to Action: The Second Dorog Workshop on Community-Based Climate Adaptation

On 17 May, the RurALL project continued its three-part community workshop series in Dorog with a dynamic and productive second session. Held once again at the Gáthy Zoltán Public Library, the event brought together familiar and new participants alike — all ready to continue the collective journey of identifying and shaping solutions to local environmental challenges.

Building on the first workshop in April, this second meeting focused on developing concrete steps for the issues previously identified. Through structured group work and creative collaboration, participants translated general ideas into actionable plans, and explored what specific contributions they themselves could make in the coming months.

Facilitated by Dr. Borbála Fellegi and Dr. Virág Vajna, and organised by the Contemporary Architecture Centre (KÉK), the workshop also started shaping the autumn placemaking action, which will transform a local space through community-led, green-minded interventions.

The atmosphere was filled with motivation, responsibility, and positive energy. Participants' engagement is a powerful confirmation of how valuable civic initiatives are in Hungary. For us at KÉK, it is deeply affirming to see that our work is considered meaningful by those we serve. This is what motivates us — and this is why no smear campaign, intimidation or restrictive regulation can deter us from working for the public good.

We are grateful for your trust, energy, and support. See you at the third workshop!
