Co-Designing a Climate-Resilient Future for Sárisáp

On 10 May, the RurALL project launched a new three-part local workshop series in the village of Sárisáp, Komárom-Esztergom County. The event, held at the Sárisáp Bányász Community Place, brought together a committed and thoughtful group of local residents, civil society representatives, municipal actors and institutional stakeholders.
Participants shared a deep knowledge of their community’s values and challenges, and showed a strong willingness to take part in shaping a sustainable future. The workshop focused not only on identifying local environmental and social problems, but also on exploring what individuals and groups themselves can do to make a difference.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Borbála Fellegi and Pink Edit organised by the Contemporary Architecture Centre (KÉK). The aim was to strengthen cooperation between local actors and provide practical tools to support community-led climate adaptation efforts. The atmosphere reflected a healthy understanding of roles and shared goals: sustaining valuable traditions while responding to the real needs of local people.
Thank you to all participants for your energy, insight, and openness. The workshop series will continue on 21 June – we look forward to seeing you again!
