AVES DO LIMA

| rurALL Project | News , Eco-placemaking

Aves do Lima was a one-day event in Lanheses dedicated to bird watching and nature illustration, promoted by WWF and supported by the Parish Council of Lanheses and the Reflorestar Serra d'Arga group.

This event is part of the CERV RurALL - Rural Active Citizenship Labs project and aims to bring participants closer to birdlife, where environmental education is conveyed through direct experience and artistic practice. In the morning, Carlos Venade (ornithology, botany and mycology educator) led a birdwatching field trip on the banks of the Lima River.

Through the afternoon, André Valério (illustrator and environmental educator) led a nature illustration workshop where participants learned scientific illustration techniques for both birds and their habitats.
It was a day for deepening knowledge and will serve to illustrate the species at the Olho channel recovery event on March 21st.
